Location:Allegheny City Brewing - 507 Foreland St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212
This event is in the past.
For the club's July 2016 meeting we will be checking out the brand-new Allegheny City Brewing in the Deutschtown neighborhood of Pittsburgh's North Side on Saturday, July 23rd at 12:00 Noon. As of the time this is being written in late May, ACBC is not quite open yet but they are making beer and will be open soon - like in the next couple of weeks. By the time we get there at the end of July they'll be in full swing. Give them a like on Facebook to keep up to date on their progress!
Please try to arrive at noon as we'll be starting the meeting by 12:15 to make sure we're done with our business before they open at 2:00. (We're welcome to hang out after they open, we just have to be done with our meeting by then.)
So come join us for an afternoon of sharing homebrew, brewing discussion, and checking out Allegheny City's new digs. As always, bring plenty of homebrew to share - whether you're looking for detailed feedback or just want to share your latest delicious creation, this is the place to pour it! Also as always please plan to buy yourself a pint or two or maybe a growler to go from the tap room to show Allegheny City that we really appreciate them hosting our club meeting.
Quarterly Mini Competition We'll be having two mini competitions at this meeting - cider and Big Brew beer. So bring out your best hard cider and bring the beer you brewed at the Big Brew at MoreBeer back in May. Prizes will go to the winner (based on popular vote) of the best cider and the best beer. As always, you must be a dues-paid TRASH member to participate in the mini-competition.
If you're looking for something to eat before or after the meeting, our good friends at James Street Gastropub and Speakeasy are situated catty-corner across the intersection from Allegheny City.
See you there!
