Change in May Big Brew Location

Hello Fellow Trash Brewers!!!

I wanted to let everyone know that I will sadly be absent at this Sunday’s Meeting. I will be there in spirit (my wife and I are skiing up at Holiday Valley, NY).

Anyway, I need to report a change of venue. In speaking with my dad, we decided to hold the May 2, 2009 Big Brew at my house in Crafton. (National Homebrew Week).

Peter’s system is extremely large and bulky. Peter lives right down the street from me, so the closer location will be better suited for the event (we won’t have to travel far to put the system back into his garage).

Also, the wheels got spinning when Chip mentioned about Armand’s close proximity to supplies. That got me to thinking that my house is even better. If someone comes up short on ingredients, supplies, tools, etc., I live 2 miles from South Hills Brewing. They have Saturday hours from 11am – 4pm. I figure that window of time is the perfect amount to figure out what is missing or forgotten from your bag of goods. However, it is always my motto to be come prepared in advance.

Amenities of my house:

• Large gravel parking lot that my neighbor gives me permission to use.
• About 8 or 9 spaces of additional street parking.
• Empty gravel/grass lot beside my house where I will set my dad’s large tent up.
• Access to water (Outside)
• Grill
• Covered porch for meal time
• Close to Sharp Edge

I’d also like to add Mike Moretti as co-chair of the Big Brew (if he accepts).
