The April Brewer's Forum will be held on Saturday April 11, 9:00am at Keith's House, 933 Rita Dr., 15221 . This month's forum will be an all-grain brewing demo. Keith and other will be brewing an American IPA using hops purchased through the club and the beer will be served at upcoming meetings. Please come and see an all grain brewing session and bring your questions as well. The brew day is just starting at 9:00 am but should be going well into the early afternoon, so even if you can't make it in the morning you can still stop by later and see how it all turned out. Hope to see you all there!

Don't let the "Serious" part of our name scare you off. If you have an interest in homebrewing come to one of our meetings and check it out. There is lots of good food and of course homebrewed beer. If you have any questions ask on the contact form.
How was it?
Just wondering how the Brewer's Forum went this month? How much beer did you guys end up making? How many people showed up? Was it awesome?
How bout a recap Keith?

Imperial IPA
We made 20 gallons of imperial IPA. We used a whole sack of grain and over 38 ounces of hops. The O.G. was 1.083 and the IBUs were 120+. The turnout was huge: Mike Moretti, Chris Meta, and former member Aaron Enoch. Oh, and my neighbor showed up and brought some pizza. Then things really got crazy.
I hope the beer will be ready for the Big Brew or at least the May Meeting. I have a bunch of pictures from the event. It was pretty cool to see so many kettles in use. I'll post a link once I get them online.
